Wow. That's how I feel. You completely judge and promote your gospel with fear. I believe MOST families homeschool out of fear and not principal. You aid in this wrong mindset. Perfect love, Gods love, casts out fear. I trust that God will do His part as I do mine in raising my kids through the public school system. I will get to hear the stories, engage in battle with, and prepare my kids to be in the world without being of the world.

Limit random playing with toys and electronic games, train them to guard their hearts for the one they will marry, and brag to people they admire about their business, life skills achievements, & career oriented learning and activities. Prevent friendships with kids whose focus is fun and romance and not on building their future. Get the Jumping Ship materials!

I love this article. My question is how do you homeschool like this and not end up with lazy children? I've always thought of structured academic schooling as the "job" for the children while they are children including regular chores. So, they do their "school" during the day and that is then replaced with a real job or homemaking after they are adults. If they don't have that structure, then aren't they just doing things that they want to do and feeding their selfish souls? What would a typical day look like to avoid raising selfish, self-centered children that haven't learned a thing except to entertain themselves and do occasional chores?
