*ALL CHARGES OF CHILD ABUSE & NEGLECT WERE COMPLETELY UNFOUNDED in our case...And we owe it to Michael & Debi Pearl's book, 'To Train Up a Child' as the Biblical principals they teach proved to be worthy of praise by the government, and earned us a bright shiny gold star on our report!

Last Sept 2011, we were falsely accused of child abuse to Social Services by our former "pastor" Bob Enyart, of Denver Bible Church (Cult) after we removed ourselves from under his authority, and out of revenge, he used your book as a weapon against us to cause alarm in the system. But it actually worked in our favor - Praise the Lord!

*The very first line in the 3-page Child Protective Services report intended to destroy our family by having our six children taken away from our home said this:

“Mr. & Mrs. Kekoa are fundamentalist Christians who base their doctrine of physical discipline on a book called 'To Train Up a Child' which encourages excessive physical discipline and promotes child abuse as early as 6 months of age..."

After an intense investigation and private interviews with our children - *ALL CHARGES OF CHILD ABUSE & NEGLECT WERE COMPLETELY UNFOUNDED thanks to TTUAC.

*Please read our amazing story below and share it with others because THE PEARLS DESERVE TO BE PRAISED & people need to hear the TRUTH about their book from an innocent family:

I have a bit of a dilemma. My husband and I are waiting on the Lord to give us our first child. In the meantime, we are discussing child training. I completely agree with what the Bible says 100%. My dilemma is that my sister and her husband have three kids and they are so unruly and disobedient to every authority figure. I love my niece and nephews so much, but it is embarrassing to go into public with them because they don't listen to a word that their parents or I say.

After observing my sister and her husband for several years, the problem comes from their complete inconsistency. My sister (who is a christian) will tell her kids to do something ten times before there are any consequences, or she makes excuses for their bad behavior (they are sick, tired, hungry, etc.)

Since I do not have children, yet, I don't feel like it's my place to tell her anything about child training. At the same time, I see her kids getting worse and worse. I love them very much and do not want them to grow up to be spoiled brats. Should I say something? Send her your book anonymously? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am 20 and the 2nd oldest of 9 children.
Please remember these words.

The downfall of this nation will be at the hands of today's parents and their lack
to discipline their children...
besides that, the Pearl's are truthseekers and they would rather die before they lead someone astray. And I truly believe that.

@just me - You are correct in that many of the problems that parents have with their children are the result of a lack of discipline on the parents

Wow! I have to agree with the adage,"There is no such thing as bad publicity." With all the furor surrounding this site, you must get hundreds of readers. I have to admit that my curiosity was piqued, so I delved a little deeper to see what was really going on here... Beneath all the rhetoric is some very common sense - DISCIPLINE YOUR CHILDREN.
Apparently, those 3 simple words are too foreign to many parents. So many are too afraid to tell their kids "NO" - so when they get a little religious advice telling them it's ok (according to the Bible) to use a rod to discipline their children, they take it literally. Those people deserve everything they get.
I am a single parent with 2 children. I have never had to spank them and lo and behold, they are both upstanding citizens, college graduates, and we have the best relationship any parent could hope for - and all it took was a little common sense....

@Danielle - Actually if you do your research you will discover that a Rod was used to correct and a Staff was used to guide, as mentioned in the 23rd Psalm.
