I am a single mom with a little boy with so many personalities - incredible leadership calling on his life for sure. Beautiful merciful heart and helpful, aware of others, yet stubborn demanding and has his own ideas of how to conquer the world.
I would love to read a book like that! We only have one son (our firstborn), who is 2, but could definitely use some ideas raising him. He has a commanding personality. He is stubborn to the extreme, gleefully disobedient frequently, nearly oblivious to concept of not getting his way, is not as obedient to women in general (myself included) but absolutely adores his incredibly patient, mostly Mr. Visionary father. He loves to help me around the house in anyway 2 y/o can (loading the washer, throwing away diapers, etc), can be quite loving when the mood strikes him, and expresses concern for his baby sister. Other children around his age seem to naturally follow and mimic him. If trained correctly, we believe he has potential to be a caring servant leader. But if his personality isn't properly harnessed, we fear a rebel with a natural ability to draw others to himself. We've been attempting to draw wisdom from many Godly people around us, but could always use more ideas in dealing with such a strong personality.

I have one son, "D", who is 8, between two strong, spirited sisters. Even though his father passed way four years ago, I still see the good qualities of his dad. His dad was a visionary in many ways...smart, prophetic, and very intuitive, but mostly a Mr. Steady. My son is much like his dad, but is becoming more of his own person. He is well liked by everyone, sensitive, and loves to help others in need. He inhales the word of God - to the point that, I believe, it consumes him. From birth, I knew my son was special and believe God has great things in store for him. He is, in many ways, a Mr. Steady. Two years ago, I remairried. Partly because I knew my son needed a father figure--a man to show him the ropes of manhood, if you will. My husband is different than my son. He is a Visionary...smart, fun, kind of childish (sometimes, HAHA), and dominant. Nevertheless, my husband and son compliment each other. I find, as a mom, to strongly encourage a relationship between the two men in my life and to stay out of the way, unless I am asked to be included. I want my son to become a leader and not a "mama's boy" that is whiny, spineless, selfish, and manipulative. The top priority as a mother is to show him my love and nurture a Godly nature. Lord willing, we'll make it!

I have 7 children. 3 of them are boys! At current they are about 3, 9 and 12 yrs old. My 8yr old is a pretty steady guy. My 12 is more of a visionary/command kind of guy. I am wondering, as the mama, how to raise them to be good men, strong and respondsible. Directing them toward jobs that are going to help them thrive but also ones that they are going to enjoy because of their personalities? I AM the parent, as in main, solo parent. Sadly, dad has left emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. So its left to me the mama to train them and teach them but how would you suggest?
Not sure its book material but asking...
