I am very interested in potty training my 6 week old baby. Is it to late to start? And you said that you would take your baby potty with you when you went, did you ever wake her up to go with you? And did you use cloth diapers instead of disposable ones just so you knew that she went???

Dear Shalom,
Thank you for that encouraging article. I too am trying to think ahead in my child rearing, instead of making decisions now that will cause problems later. Having grown up in a home of performance based love, I tend to be a bit perfectionistic. So, I appreciate you saying that it is more the parent being trained than the child. I see now that I was expecting too much out of my baby and myself. I think we have been as successful as we can at this stage. At the end of the article you mentioned other foundations you are laying for Gracie that won't come into affect until she's older. I'd love to know what those are in case they are things I have not thought of myself.
