Just out of curiosity–since you seem to feel that marriage is only for procreation, what about straight couples who are unable to have children? Should their marriages be invalidated?

Just curious–I’ve yet to have a Christian answer this question in a cogent manner.

keeping the same thought about “legal” marriages… so as for documents, medical issues, etc… how can they be registered together as a family if they are never considered to be “legally” married? Just wondering, for I had never heard of such an option!

As for the postcript… Does it mean their marriage is not “legal”, in the terms the government would use? Does it ean thet in case one or your sons or sons-in-law would die, there would be no legal document to prove that his wife is such? Where I live, this means that in case of a disaster like death, the government could just keep it all and leave the family in the street…
