It's amazing what God wants from us when we pray. I believe that our prayers make a difference in the world, I also belive that we help God when we pray, not like He needs us to do things because he has the power to do anything but I mean that He likes to help us and blessing us, and the most usual way to bless us when we pray , when we tell him that we need Him Well this is my first day reading the book and I’m so happy!
It’s amazing what God wants from us when we pray.

I think God wants the credit for the good things in our life. If good stuff just fell from heaven with me not asking HIM I might think it was because I was so awesome and not that HE is so awesome. i.e. We must pray for wisdom so that we learn that all wisdom comes down from HIM (and not demonic wisdom also described in James 3) and that without JESUS CHRIST I am a fool. Jesus is the wisdom of God. 1 Cor 1:30 God also wants a relationship with us, if prayer was unnecessary we wouldn't be motivated to talk to God. He killed His son purely so I could be in relationship with Him again and not go to hell! Remember the tearing of the veil? He really really really wants to talk with you Laura :) WHy did God set up prayer the way He did?

They have been playing over and over in my mind often. I am inspired in how you take God's Word so literally, and how you so confidently and yet simply trust that God will answer your prayers. And then I stand amazed at how God answers your prayers - so simple, and yet so amazing! I believe God is using you to stir me to be like this. (And please know I am not saying this to flatter you. It really hit home the first time I read it. I have been making it a habit to pray for anyone or anything as it comes to mind. I have been so blessed by the many ways God has answered! Last month I was sitting in a parking lot with my sibilings and began to feel very uncomfortable about the man in the vehicle next to us. After we'd been sitting there about an hour, I sugested that we pray that he leave to my sibilings and within 1 minute a woman came and got in the truck with him and away thay went!!! I am so thankful to God for always hearing and answering our prayers! He is SO good to me! This is just one of the MANY ways I have been blessed be the amazing gift of prayer!
