Training is teaching the child early in life what to do and how to respond, using gentle, positive reinforcement. That is the whole scope of our ministry.

According to the research, children spanked up to the age of 6 were likely as teenagers to perform better at school and were more likely to carry out volunteer work and to want to go to college than their peers who had never been physically disciplined.

When is a child too young to spank? The answer is obviously dependent on your definition of the word “spank.”

I am often asked how to raise boys. It has been so long since my boys were 12 and 14 that I had forgotten much of what we did, but because we have the Russian boys back with us this summer, relating to them again has refreshed my memory considerably.
