We were so excited to receive this testimony about how one man is using Good and Evil books to share the gospel in his community!
We have a young Christian man here named C. who uses troubled youth to help him mow lawns and do tree work, etc. About a month ago he came with a couple of new guys (about 25 years old) who looked pretty rough. I try to make a point of speaking to each of them, getting their names and complimenting them on their work. Last month I gave C. a "Good and Evil" and a Bible Stick from Faith Comes by Hearing.
Turns out he gave the "Good and Evil" to one of the new guys. I just went out to ask him to adjust his mower and he asked me if I knew where he could get another Bible like C. gave him. He said he had read it all the way through three times since he was here last time and wants to keep it but would like to give one to his niece who is married to an "atheist." He said he showed his copy to his niece and she asked if he could get her one that she could show to her husband.
I asked him how many more atheists he had in his family and he said, "about two or three...!" so I put 3 copies on the porch for him to take home. He was reluctant to take so many of what he called "those beautiful, expensive Bibles", but I told him no one was reading them sitting in my bookshelf, so he might as well have them!
He lit up like a Christmas Tree. And I did too (inside).
Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
