Light Bearers | Prison Ministry

No Greater Joy has made the gospel available all over the world in many languages at the click of a button. But what about our own forgotten mission field in our own towns and States? The prisons are full of people waiting and willing to hear the gospel. Light Bearers make this possible. Who are Light Bearers? They are willing volunteers of those reading our magazine. People like you. The inmates write letters to us requesting their own Good & Evil book. We type the prisoner name and address onto mailing labels. We then send those to the Light Bearers. These home missionaries buy the Good and Evil books at a great discount, then package, label and mail the books at their own cost and time. People NEED to have the opportunity to minister. There are people with a burden for those behind bars who would love to be a part of this ministry. This is the No Greater Joy team. Those who financially support this ministry will also reap the reward. It takes a mouth to speak the Word, a hand to extend an opportunity, and feet to carry the good news. It takes the whole body of Christ to win the world for Christ. Thank you for carrying this ministry with us.

We get calls and letters from prison chaplains telling us that this one book is THE most used ministry tool they have ever seen in prisons. Many prisons have been drastically changed by placing this book in the hands of inmates. Preachers and teachers come and go, but the book with the message of God stays and keeps teaching, preaching, encouraging, and winning the souls of men. It is passed from hand to hand; it never sleeps or tires. Once placed in the hands of an inmate, it goes on and on ministering for years. And, inmates are a captive audience, so they WILL read and reread pages.
