I am 17 years old and I have never been in a relationship and I will probably not be pursuing one anytime soon. But, here is my problem….. My mom and dad both have told me a couple of times that I tend to come off  kind of up-tight or like I am above people and that I could be driving off a potential relationship or friendship. I am not like that though, on the contrary good friends have said things like they feel better when I am there and that the atmosphere is lighter and happier when I am around. I am just shy around strangers and people I don’t know but, when I am with friends or family I am happy and relaxed and myself……  I don’t know what to do, I don’t want to drive people and especially not my future husband away. My parents have said that I am a sweet, wonderful girl but that unless people get to know me they might not realize that. What do I do? 🙁
