Question

I’ll make this quick and not go into all the details at this moment…

For you married/engaged or seriously dating ladies, were you attracted to your guy at first or did the attraction come later? Is it possible for someone who I am not attracted to and only think of as a good friend (best friend/brother?) to someday become the guy God has for me to marry? What do you do if your best friend is showing interest in you but you don’t have interest back? Should I just try to be open to the possibility and pray about it, or back away so that our friendship is not damaged? If any of you out there have love stories that sound similar to this, please share!

I am not married or engaged but I have had the same problem. I would say 1. you can’t be close minded to the idea because god knows when we sometimes don’t so praying about it is a must and 2. it is important to stay focused on things of god and god will work things out in time, if you are focused on god this guy if he is not Mr.right will lose interest soon enough.

The problem that comes in is when this friend tells you his feelings expecting your feelings in return in that situation you need to be honest in a kind and loving way.

I’m not dating or married but I know that when my mom married my dad she was not in love with him but they were good friends – she did know that God had told her to marry him. They have now been happily married for 23 years and seem to be very much in love! So what I’m saying is I think you should pray about it and wait for where God leads you and him
