The devil cannot create anything; he can only corrupt and destroy what is meant to be good.
And so it is with sex. Sex was not created by the enemy of our souls. It was intended as a gift to mankind; intimacy of both body and soul between a husband and a wife.
But far beyond its intended use, the enemy has twisted and marred it to be a thing of shame, contempt, and control. And for most of history, the church has been silent as the devil has claimed God’s gift as his own.
But God is not silent. One entire book of the Bible, the Song of Solomon, extols and promotes love, intimacy and pleasure between a husband and his wife, without shame, guilt and inhibition.
It is time for Christian couples to take back this sacred ground and enjoy this holy gift as God intended.
