How We Began 

In 1995, we unwittingly took the first step on an incredible journey that is still unfolding. One mom sent a letter to our mailbox asking for child-training advice. After much thought and prayer, we began writing her a return letter that grew…and grew…and eventually became a book, which we shared around our community. The general consensus was that we needed to publish it. We borrowed some money from family members to pay for the first printing of To Train Up a Child, officially beginning our self-publishing ministry. When we wrote To Train Up a Child, our hope was to help a few families. Instead, it exploded into a cultural phenomenon. Families from everywhere were excited to learn how to train their children according to the biblical standard rather than going with the ever-changing flow of mainstream culture. In response, we began producing a free, bi-monthly magazine to equip and inspire homeschooling families. In it, we featured articles about family life, marriage, and Christian lifestyle. 30 years later, God has taken our first book and multiplied it tenfold. We have now sold over 1 million copies of To Train Up A Child, as well as self-published 34 other books that cover topics on marriage, Bible teaching, and more child-training. We still produce our bi-monthly magazine and write fresh new articles that boldly contradict worldly culture.
Many of our books have become international best-sellers, including one graphic novel that is translated in over 60 languages.

Our books and magazine content has also given us a platform to expand online, where we created our own space to share in-depth teaching through the Bible. Our ultimate passion is, as it always has been, to share the gospel and create a wholesome space where Christian families can thrive.

What We Do

Much has changed in the last 30 years, but our goals remain the same. Through generous donations and support from an amazing community, we are able to reach those goals on an incredible scale both nationally and internationally. We accomplish this through our books, audio teaching, free NGJ Magazine, and outreach tools. For as long as God is in our ministry, we want to inspire change in the culture of America that will bring revival into the hearts and minds of people everywhere.

Although our base is in Middle Tennessee, our team is deeply connected with other ministers across the globe.

~Supporting missionaries in Ukraine, Papua New Guinea, Pakistan, and more!
~Connecting with homeschool communities to help promote godly values
~Partnering with indigenous missionaries all over the world to aid them in our shared mission of reaching the lost

Our ministry is multifaceted, but our head is Christ.
