Good & Evil Audio Clip: Fiery Serpents

By No Greater Joy Ministries

Transcription

Announcer:  Here we have a clip for you from Good and Evil episode 4. We hope you like it. We sure had fun making it.

[music]

Man 1:  There came a day when their complaints and unbelief caused God to bring judgment upon them.

[snakes hissing]

Woman 2:  Snakes! Lot of them!

[snakes hissing]

Man 1:  God prepared many poisonous snakes to enter the camp and seek out warm flesh. God is merciful, but He will not allow sin to continue forever. Soon the camp was filled with poisonous snakes.

Man 2:  God help us!

Man 1:  The snakes even found them in their tents at night.

Man 2:  Help me! I’ve been bitten!

[snakes hissing]

Woman 3:  No! [screams]

Woman 4:  [scream] No! Joab!

Child 1:  Mother! [cries]

Man 1:  Even the children suffered for the sins of their parents. From all over the camp, cries of the suffering and grieving could be heard. The wages of sin are terrible.

Man 3:  It is like this all over the camp, growing worse by the minute. Many have already died.

Man 4:  We must find Moses. Surely this is the work of God. He is angry with the people for their sins.

Man 3:  You must talk to God. We deserve this punishment, but ask him to show mercy.

Man 5:  When will the people learn that God is serious about sin? They must obey his commandments and be a holy nation. Oh, God, please be merciful to your people. Forgive their sins.

God:  Go. Make a serpent of brass just like the ones biting the people. Place it on a pole for all to see. Tell them to simply look upon the brass serpent and they will be instantly healed.

Man 4:  God has provided a way! Just look at the brass serpent and you will be healed!

Woman 5:  He is going to die.

Man 7:  No, God has provided a way. Just open your eyes and look. Look and live!

Woman 5:  It’s a miracle!

Man 7:  We must tell others.

Man 8:  It worked for me. I will tell the others. Look and live!

Man 9:  Others have looked and been made whole.

Woman 6:  Why do you tease him with a false hope?

Man 10:  Can’t you see that I’m dying? Why do you bother me with such foolishness?

Woman 6:  He’s . . . dead.

Man 4:  I am sorry he wouldn’t believe.

Woman 6:  He had a lot of pride.

Man 1:  Once again the people saw the power of God. The camp moved away from the serpents and life returned to normal.

Announcer:  I am certainly glad we don’t have to deal with those fiery serpents now, and that we can all learn from what has gone on before. As always, please remember to check out our ever-changing NGJ specials.
