Bible Questions with Michael Pearl
Episode 017: Is there any Scriptural evidence for your planet Eden theory?

By Michael Pearl

Episode Transcription:

Michael Pearl:  All right I here we are. Old fuzzy faced Mike Pearle again from Cane Creek, middle Tennessee. It's been a rainy day, but we are here to answer your Bible questions. We have Jared behind the camera there, and I have not yet seen any of these questions so Jared is going to put them to me and I'm going to come up with some kind of answer out of the Word of God. What do you have Jared?

Jared:  "In episode one of your weekly Bible question show, you mentioned Eden as a planet prior to being a garden on earth. I have never heard of Eden referred to as a planet separate from Earth before. Would you mind backing that up with scripture? Thanks."

Michael:  All right now. Like I said, I hadn't seen these and I have looked up every time the word Eden is used in the Bible. If you'll get your concordance and do that then what you will find is that Eden was the name of a place. When he said, "he placed a garden eastward in Eden," there in Genesis chapter two and three. You find that what we call the Garden of Eden, where Adam and Eve were. It was not a garden named Eden. If this surface of this Bible were Eden, he said he "placed a garden eastward in Eden." So Eden was much larger than the garden.

Now either Eden refers to the entire land grant that God gave to Israel. The land that stretches from Turkey to the river of Egypt over to the gulf at the edge of Kuwait, all up through the Euphrates River Valley through Iraq, back up to Turkey, down the Mediterranean, back to Egypt.

Either it covers that entire rectangle or Eden is the whole earth. And it appears to me that the Eden is the whole earth. Speaking of Satan, in chapter 14 of Isaiah, he speaks of "Satan's sin" and let's get the whole context.
"Hell is from beneath is moved to receive thee, it stirreth up the dead for thee" (Isa. 14:9). Talking about Satan descending into hell. "Art thou become weak like one of us…?” He said “the worm is spread under thee, the worms cover thee" (Isa. 14:10-11). That is the state of the damned forever.

"How art thou fallen from heaven oh Lucifer son of the morning, how didst thy cast thyself to the ground? Did weaken the nations for thou said in thy heart I will exult myself, I will ascend into heaven" (Isa. 14:12-13)
So Satan was not in heaven when he sinned. He was on some place where he would have to ascend. "I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. I will sit up on the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:" (Isa. 14:13).

"I will ascend above the height of the clouds." So he was on a planet that had clouds. "I will be like the most high, but thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit" (Isa. 14:14-15).

So Lucifer was leaving a planet. Ascending through the clouds into heaven to commit his sin. But, God said, "No you will be cast down to the ground to hell." And we know where hell is. By looking it up, we know it is the heart of this earth.

To the sides of the pit. He says that "he made the world, Satan did, a wilderness." That is the same word as "without form and void." You find there in Genesis one. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth and the earth was a wilderness: “without form and void." "And destroyed the cities thereof and opened up the house of the prisoners."

And it continues to speak of Satan there. If we go back to Ezekiel 28, where we were the other day, and look at it closer. Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel. It's like my ABC's. I can't start in the middle. I have to start from A.
So I have to say my Bible going through to find it. All right, chapter 28 of Ezekiel. He says in verse 12, "He is full of wisdom and beauty. Thou has been in Eden." I am in Isaiah 28:13, "thou has been in Eden, the garden of God."
So that is where Lucifer was when he sinned. He was on Eden, clouds above, hell beneath.

"There's been in Eden the garden of God." So the earth was a perfect place. The entire Eden was a perfect planet without sin or corruption when Lucifer dwelt upon it.

"Every precious stone thy covering" like the priest had 12 precious stones on his chest, Lucifer did too in his pre‑cherub state. And he names the stones. Verse 14, "Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth."

15, "You are prefect in all your ways from the day of you were created, till iniquity was found in you." So iniquity was found in Satan on Eden when he ascended. And he said, "by the multitude of merchandise they fill the midst of thee with violence, oh covering cherub from the midst of the stones of fire thou is perfect; thou is lifted up thy heart because of that beauty, because of your brightness you will be thrown down to the ground."

So there was ground underneath him when he would have ascended above heights of the clouds. There was...hell beneath him. And heaven above. "I will lay thee before Kings, and they will save you" and so forth, so forth, so on. He continues there speaking of Lucifer and his destruction.

There is not an attempt in the Scripture to go back and give us a historical, chronological account of Lucifer. What we have are bits and pieces, references. But, when you put these things together they add up to irrefutably? Not necessarily so.

But, they add up to circumstantial evidence that says Lucifer was on this planet before he sinned. He was a cherub. He had a large number of angels underneath him. He aspired to be more than what he was because of his beauty. He wanted to send up above the heights of the clouds, he was cast back to the ground and will end up in hell, which is the heart of this earth, eventually.

So Eden was this planet prior to Adam being created and the Garden of Eden, the garden eastward in Eden in Genesis one and two.
