Cold Sand

Springtime apparently means volleyball around here. Since the weather’s been warm this past week, people in the community have been out several times. For me, it’s very interesting to see the odd mix of people who play. From teenage girls wearing head cloths, to their fathers, to 8-year old boys, to pregnant women, there is a huge variety. And, boy, are they serious about their games. I learned last fall a little bit of volleyball technique, but I usually prefer to watch when they’re playing hard. I enjoy, mostly, a more relaxed game, although competitive games can be fun with the right people.
