I entered marriage thinking I could relate to a woman as I had related to my buddies for the past 25 years.

The first lesson I learned is that women are irrational and don’t make sense most of the time. It took me years before I reconciled myself to the fact that I am not capable of understanding a woman.

Marriage does involve a lot of compromises. It involves a lot of “Okay, if you say so,” and a lot of giving over. It’s not 50–50, it is 100–100.

It is never ideal for the woman to be the breadwinner and the man to be the home-keeper for the simple reason that the role reversal (a role dictated by our created natures) places each in a position contrary to their nature
