Welcome Home!

Mike and I started No Greater Joy Ministries by accident. We were, by choice, Tennessee hillbillies and farmers—which we still are—but God had other plans. He must have been laughing when he chose us.
A lady in Texas wrote us a short note asking how we got our children interested in ministry. Another Texas family gave us an ancient computer, and while Mike was learning how to type, he answered the lady’s letter. He is LONG-winded, so it ended up being a book, To Train Up a Child. That was about 30 years ago. Now with books in over 75 languages and millions of people having had the opportunity to hear the gospel, here we are, old, tired, and ready to pass the reins to our son Nathan.
Nathan is a faithful brother in Christ. If he were not our son, he would still be our choice to head up No Greater Joy Ministries. He loves God, he loves No Greater Joy, and he has a vision for reaching the masses for Christ. Thankfully, he is also a great teacher of the Word, and writer. We believe God in his mercy and grace gave Nathan a double portion like was given to Elisha when a chariot of fire appeared and Elijah was caught up in a whirlwind (2 Kings 2:ll). (We are not looking for a chariot of fire or dying anytime soon.) Our wonderful staff loves and respects Nathan and he them, and they are looking forward to having him here.
So, by the time you get this magazine, Nathan will be closing his time in Kauai as pastor of Crossroads Church.
