Simple Wisdom Part II

August 20, 2023

Are your prayers being hindered? Do you wonder why God is not answering?

It could be like the time when Daniel needed to know the king’s dream but a host of fallen angels fought against God’s angels, keeping them from bringing the answer for 21 days. This is probably not your case.

It could be the answer is no. God says that sometimes, “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts” (James 4:3).

But often our prayers are honest requests and genuine needs. God wants to answer our prayers, but he can’t—because of us. Maybe we are hindering our own prayers.

Hindered means: to create difficulty for (someone or something), resulting in delay or obstruction.

Do you think that some things in God’s Word are just lifestyle suggestions because you are not under the law? Are you of the opinion that you can just go by your conscience? Do you find yourself analyzing what God says as if his commands come in degrees? Love and obedience run hand in hand. If you really love someone, you seek to please and honor them all the time, in every way. Don’t expect a miracle if you love God but are a halfway saint.

God says in James 1:7, “For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.”

If you have a great need and have been faithful trusting and waiting on God, think again. God has been waiting on you.

The fullness of God comes from the fullness of loving to do this perfect will. You will find that in his written WORD.
