Happy Mama

“Mama, why are you grouchy?” the little boy asked his mama.

She answered, “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to be grouchy. Will you pray for Mama to be happy and have wisdom and patience? Mama needs your prayer just like the missionaries that we pray for every night. I would be so happy if you prayed for me.”

Sammy looked surprised as he listened to Mama. “Did you know the Bible says that every little child has an angel that is in heaven looking at God’s face? So when you ask God to help your mama, do you think your angel will say, ‘Hey God, my little boy needs help for his mama; will you do that for him, please?’”

The little boy looked at his mama and said, “I want to pray for you right now,” and he did. And do you know what? He has a happy mama again.

  1. How beautiful. I actually teared up. I had asked my children for prayers as well. What a wonderful touching story of God's love through our little ones.

  3. This is so encouraging. What a great way to handle a grumpy moment. I've been looking but I can't find the scripture that talks about every child having an angel that is in heaven looking at God's face. Could you post it?

  5. Really liked this simply put advice. My children have helped me so much with my attitude through the years, but I have not always asked them to pray for me! I think I will do it more often now!
