My little sisters have this problem too. What we do is don’t drink any beverages about three hours before bed, make sure you use the bathroom before bed every night. Also if you want set your alarm for the middle of the night to go go to the restroom. I understand how embarressing that is but keep on trying.

    Tough…have you seen a doctor?

Well, I really don’t know your situation or what causes you to wet the bed, but maybe set an alarm clock for partway through the night to get up and go to the bathroom?

With my little sisters who all seem to have gone through stages of this problem, though much younger, is limit their water in the evening, which you are already doing. Then they go potty on their way to bed. Then my Dad or I get them up again before we go to bed a few hours later. Sometimes they still wet, but it helps.

I suggest researching herbal remedies, it sounds like you need a diuretic. (diuretic just means that it helps balance all that part of your body system) You could try drinking Nettle infusion. Get the dried nettle leaf, you can order it, (I think my Mom orders that from Mountain Rose Herbs) fill a quart size jar half way with the dried leaves, fill it the rest of the way with hot water. Let it sit 6 hours or overnight. Strain it & drink it! (doesn’t taste good…but if it helps it would be worth it!)

How frequently do you have to use the bathroom during the day? Is this a 24/7 problem or just at night? Thinking about such things might help you figure out what the problem is. And pray! Ask God what the problem is & how to fix it! 🙂 Ask HIM to fix it. Sickness is not from God, it’s a result of the curse. Jesus bought our freedom from the curse when He died on the cross, you don’t have to suffer this!

Maybe you could set your alarm clock once or twice in the middle of the night to get up and use the restroom. Just a thought.
    Hope it helps!

My brother had a slight problem with this about 7-9 years old. So a bit younger than you but the story might be applicable.

To make a long story short we eventually took him to a doctor and they found that he had a physiological issue where he did not fully empty his bladder when going to the bathroom. So what we did was set a timer on the microwave or whatever for at least 2 min and he had to try for that amount of time every hour during the day and right before bed. We even set an alarm or 2 at night to wake him up so that he would go to the bathroom then. We had to retrain his brain and bladder muscle to fully empty when he was going to the bathroom.

Don’t know if this is your problem, but it might help. Basically it sounds to me like you need to retrain your brain to wake up when you have to go to the bathroom. Maybe you could even associate it with some reward like an M&M or something. I know it sounds silly but if your brain starts to associate waking up to go to the bathroom with a little pleasure it might help.

Let us know how it works out!

Talia, my best friend wet her bed every night until she was 18 years old! She looks like a super model (but dresses modestly), is married to a good looking and nice dude, has a beautiful baby, and is a successful owner of a hair studio. I spent the night constantly at her house as a teen, and had NO IDEA that she wet her bed until we were in our mid 20’s and both married! It is not a super big deal. I would just try the little things, but if they don’t work, don’t worry. Debi Pearl wet her bed until she was 14, I believe. Many successful and awesome people wet their beds for many years. I have wet the bed a few times when I was pregnant! My husband, was very gracious and no big problem! You, I am sure are an awesome young lady, and this is nothing to be ashamed of. Just try the little routines, get a good nights sleep (I wouldn’t be waking up several times in the night, yeesh), and stop worrying about it. Maybe worrying has caused some of the problem, you might be thinking about it a ton before bed, and then your brain dreams about it. I used to sleep walk a lot, even after I had children. My husband has found me changing diapers in my sleep! The doctor told me, because I thought about the babies and changing them, and was so worried about them at night, my brain dreamt about them, thus the sleep walking. I would relax my mind before bed and realize whatever I was worrying about, was not an issue…I also started thinking a lot about happy things before bed like “If I inherited from a million dollars I would start this charity, and dah dah dah.” Nice dreams followed, and no sleep walking.

I see I’m a little late to this but hopefully you will see my reply anyways!

I just wanted to suggest considering getting your blood sugar tested. When I was 14 I started wetting the bed, then became very ill and skinny. When I went to the Dr. it was found out I had type 1 diabetes. Along with bedwetting and increased urination look for excessive thirst, weight loss, and moodiness as signs of high blood sugar. Hopefully there is nothing wrong-and most likely you have nothing to worry about! 🙂 Just wanted to share incase it can be of some help.
