Hi y’all! I was just wondering about ways to get busy for the Lord. When I read the “Preparing to be a Help Meet” book, I admired how Debi, Ellie and Leah all were busy, doing as much as they could for Christ. What are ways that I can do that? I’m turning 16 in a few months. I’ve been praying for quite a while about this, seeking the Lord for His help. I feel like I’m not doing enough for Him alone. I go to a youth group that sings for the elderly and I have really grown in my faith at my church. But what are ways that I can serve Him during the week? Any input is appreciated, don’t hesitate to put something down 🙂 Thanks 🙂

I am 17 but started volunteering at my local pregnancy center when I was 15. I sort donated clothes, basically. It’s been such a blessing, especially to get to know the Christian ladies there. Being a godly example to unglodly friends is very important. Babysitting, working with some other ministry, helping elderly neighbors, getting a job… just look for oppurtunities in your area also. My sister stays very busy sewing and crafting. She just loves that kind of thing – it’s her hobbie and she’s wonderful at it. Just think about what you are best at too. I would most especially strive to be a blessing to everyone you come into contact with, wherever and whatever you do. It’s so important!
Thank you! Those are great ideas, for so long I have wanted to go on mission trips, volunteer at orphanages around the world and if God leads me toward that, that’s great!! 🙂 But by your answers I know that I can’t just expect God to give me a chance to do that, but to be happy and joyful through those little things that no one may see. Just like Phillipians 4;11 says, “Not that I speak in respect of want; for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.” Thanks again! 🙂
How about growing your own produce and donating it to a food pantry or maybe even a homeless shelter?
